A repeat favorite for me. Always a blast and the complete mountain experience. I have used this KC Cabin since 2020 and the check in has gotten much easier. Wildlife never disappoints and the star gazing is always primo in the winter months. I look forward to my next visit.

Anniversary weekend

Cabin was beautifully furnished, clean and well maintained. Apple Orchards, town of Blue Ridge, Hiwassee Dam, and shopping just a short drive. Steep drive to the cabin but worth it! We had visits from local wildlife like deer, armadillos, squirrels and possums. Liked: cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy.

We found the home to be very nice, well cared for and clean. The setting is remote and peaceful. No Mountain View’s but great privacy and solitude. Lots of trees. Nice outside deck and rocking chairs to enjoy the woods. We had a small issue at arrival, but the management company addressed the issue and provided a suitable resolve and did so in a very kind and considerate manner. Very impressive! Beautiful property, poorly kept

The property was beautiful, but the upkeep left much to be desired. Had roaches, something dead under one of the cabinets. Coffee maker didn’t work. Shower downstairs had a mat over a repaired hole in the floor which slipped under your feet my husband feel. The bed downstairs was old uncomfortable and musty. We left early.

Murphy rustic cabin

This was a beyond last minute decision to book this house, as we we’re supposed to vacation in Hilton Head SC, but because of tropical storm Debbie, we needed to leave a day after we got there, so we booked the Treehouse, we were lucky to find this hidden gem in the woods of NC, nested on a hill, almost on top, great location, with all the amenities one might have at home, a very nice back porch, sleeping for 6-8 people, the king size bed in the loft was awesome, highly recommend to anyone visiting the area, close to NOC, where you can do white water rafting, zip lining, mountain biking, rent paddle boards, kayaks and all kinds of activities, Bryson City is also pretty close, the Smoky Mountain train runs out of there and is a nice experience.

Exactly as described

We had a wonderful week! The cabin was clean and perfect for a week stay as it was close to everything we wanted to do. We enjoyed attending evening events at JC Campbell Folk School near by and also enjoyed just rocking in the rocking chairs next to a fire pit. We would definitely stay here again

The best stay ever

This cabin was more than I could ever expect. It had everything that was needed for a great stay in the mountains. It was so cozy with plenty of room. If you need to relax, this is the place for you. I didn't want to leave. I enjoyed just sitting out back in the rocking chair and just looking and listening to nature. I will definitely be coming back. Great cabin in the woods

Beautiful, Clean place!

K.C.’s cabin was very clean. There was much thought and care put into the details of this special cabin to make it homely and enjoyable! For a home in the mountains, the parking was spacious and reasonably flat. The kitchen was well stocked to assist with all our cooking needs. Though we didn’t use it, the grill on the porch was clean and ready to go. My elderly parents were able to safely maneuver on the parking area, porch and first floor. It was nice to sit in the rocking chairs on the porch while enjoying the beauty of the woods including deer and singing birds. This is a very nice cabin and I hope to stay again!

Lovely cabin

We had a wonderful stay. Check in process was easy and staff was very helpful. We would definitely stay there again. We considered bringing our motorcycle on a trailer but decided against and glad we didn’t. Road is steep and narrow other wise a perfect stay. Stayed 7 nights in Oct 20230

Great experience

Our short 3 night stay was a great experience. It’s a cozy quaint cabin nestled up on the mountain. Caution when driving up these roads after dark if not familiar with area, narrow roads, lots of fallen leaves. Once you do it in day light it’s easier! Everything in the cabin was well kept, plenty of kitchen stuff like pots pans, even condiments and spices which was nice to have on hand. Television was able to connect to our personal Netflix ect. Fireplace was beautiful. We even saw a whole family of deer crossing the road on the way up to the house. There was a cute place to take and leave painted rocks on the way up to the house too. Beautiful cabin in quiet mountain neighborhood

The cabin itself was very comfortable and beautiful, but the real treat was the setting. We enjoyed sipping on coffee while watching a family of deer roam around the property. It was exactly what we were looking for and will definitely consider it in the future. Quiet doesn't even begin to describe how peaceful it was all weekend. Great location

We had a great time staying at your cabin. Only problem (mine) I didn’t check my email before leaving home and didn’t have instructions on checking in. If I had received it the day before leaving it would have saved me frustration. Also, a TV server would have been nice.

This quite cabin was really nice. Had everything in the cabin and was clean. Only thing I would say was the beds downstairs rooms are extremely firm mattresses and I have a sensitive back. Overall great Cabin.

Uneasy Drive

Once we got to the property, it was nice. However, the over was very dirty, and so was the back porch area. It's apparent no one took the time to ensure these areas were clean to really present a good impression. I would go back but I would not drive because it made me uneasy. I could walk it all day, but not drive. The woods were beautiful and the two people we saw were nice. We had one visit from a baby deer and was surprised more wildlife was not present. Awesome mountain retreat!

KC's Cabin was perfect for our family of 4. Really enjoyed how it felt like we were in the middle of nowhere, and close enough to town to get anything we needed. Had a great time hanging out around the fire pit on the back deck, and the BEST part no cell service so we could really enjoy each other's company without interruptions. Stayed 4 nights in May 2022

This Cabin was very nice, and at the top of the mountain. The cabin was very clean and well appointed. My only peeve was that the heat was set at 50, and as we arrived Friday evening, there were snow flurries, which meant the cabin was cold and being a heat pump, it took until late Saturday evening to get comfortable. I would maybe suggest someone from the management company should adjust temps prior to a renters arrival. Thankfully there were several throws to cover with ! All that being considered, it was a good get away weekend!

Tree House

Fabulous Cabin!!!

I’m a repeat lodger at this cabin. It’s got everything I’m looking for in a cabin. Quiet neighborhood, plenty of space, master bedroom loft and a writing nook. If you enjoy star gazing and or an outdoor yoga pad…this cabin has it. Just perfect to disconnect and enjoy being tucked away.

Weekend getaway

Could not have picked a better cabin. Being up in the mountains gets you closer to nature. Only a few minor suggestions. Signs further up the mountain need to be better marked. Would have loved to watch movies but couldn't find a DVD player. Front large burner on stove needs to be replaced as well as the mattress in the guest bedroom. But all in all Would stay again.

Amazing cabin

The cabin was great, the listing was completely accurate, and the amenities were perfect. It’s in a beautiful location. I would definitely come back The only issue was communication: nobody ever responded to a question after I sent a message on Vrbo and left a voicemail with the emergency contact person the office told me to call.

Clean and Cozy

Lovely cabin decorations, super clean. The cabin is nestled in the woods, another home barely visible through trees, it felt very private to us! Everything functioned well and no issues. Enjoyed the internet TV, wifi worked great. Road is paved but very narrow with a few sharp turns so plan accordingly with your car.

Absolutely the BEST Log Cabin Available!

It was everything we dreamt it would be. High up on the mountain. Nothing but nature. The cabin could not be any more perfect. The decor is everything you would imagine a log cabin would have. The furniture is comfy and everything was clean. There is a fire place & fire pit for outside relaxing on one of the rocking chairs or porch swing. There were deer in the backyard every day. The cabin is turn-key & had way more than we imagined. It truly was a magical stay. We are already planning our next trip!

Beautiful Cabin

This property was beautiful, it was well supplied with everything we could have needed and the location was close to town but still private. The drive up was a bit of a hike, but once you got used to it, it was not bad at all. It was a perfect place for my family to come up for a long weekend to Murphy for a family wedding. I would definitely rent this beautiful cabin again.

Dreaming in the mountains

The cabin was exactly like it was in the pictures. It was very clean. The location is very near to the town of Murphy. It had everything needed to stay there. Made for a great vacation.

Cozy log cabin

Cozy log cabin nestled on a mountain. Very clean. Plenty of hot water for a family of three who like long showers. Whirlpool tub looked old. Linens should be white so they can take bleach. Grill was dirty. Overly decorative too the point that decorations had to be moved to place personal items.

Wedding Anniversary Stay

Enjoyed the cabin immensely. It provided the perfect location to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Everything was as described. The only slight problem was that the TV went out the day before our departure. Despite spending time with the online technical help we couldn't get it working. Instructions for the TV are sparse and could be rewritten, as it uses a Amazon Firestick to access web based applications (Netflix, Youtube)

38th Anniversary.

We find this area very relaxing and peaceful. We have stayed several times in this neighborhood but this is the first time in this cabin. We gave it a very good rating because it met all we needed for two people. The beds were comfortable that we used. The road is paved, steep in places, and narrow. However it is secure and easy to travel. Parking is not a problem even for 2, maybe 3 cars. It is located on a sloping, wooded, hillside not to far from the top. The slope around the cabin is walk able. We had no issue with neighbors but did meet a couple of very friendly people out for a walk along the road. We would very much recommend this cabin. A few things to consider. It is 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. The upstairs bedroom (king bed) does not have a bathroom. That may dictate where you need to sleep and your bed size. The 2 bedrooms downstairs are both queen beds. One bedroom has the only shower (bathroom) in the cabin in it. The other bathroom has a jacuzzi tub with a hand held wand that is separate from the bedrooms. Lastly there are no curtains or blinds in the living/dinning room and kitchen windows. These would be nice to have in the night time. There are curtains for the double doors to the deck from the living room. It is a very nice cabin, in a very pleasant area, that we would use again. Amazing Cabin that is spacious, clean, comfortable and inviting

Loved this cottage- the Kitchen had everything we would have in our own home, it was clean and spacious. There were loads of games for my kids, the views were spectacular. Highly recommend this cottage and we will keep it as one our favorite places - looking forward to returning.

KC Cabin was such a cute cabin and a comfortable stay.

My husband and I absolutely loved it! We enjoyed hanging out for the weekend. It rained a lot, so we were very happy with the chance to enjoy it own little get a way. It was very cleaned and stocked with every thing needed. The decor was so charming! We will definitely be renting here again!

Awesome fall trip.

My family had the pleasure of staying a week in this beautiful cabin. This cabin is centrally located to many mountain activities in both NC and GA. The gas fire place was great and very easy to use with a remote, no need to mess with a pilot or knobs. I used the propane grill numerous times and my wife had no issues cooking as the kitchen was stocked with all the amenities you need. The kids had a great time playing outside on the large deck. My favorite part is that is was pretty secluded. There was only one neighbor past the cabin at the end of the road. While in the cabin a tropical storm passed right over us only for us to wake up to a massive fallen tree completely blocking us in. Within an hour, the property management company had a guy out there with a chainsaw clearing our path. I had the pleasure of meeting other nearby neighbors and they were very friendly and welcoming. When the fall leaves got wet, the main road was pretty slick with two wheel drive but there was an alternative back road (gravel) that was well maintained that can be easily traveled with 2 wheel drive vehicle. The cabin was VERY competitively priced and I feel like we got an amazing value for what was paid. If you are looking for a quiet getaway in the Murphy area this is definitely worth a look.See more

Perfect Getaway

Lovely Getaway

Wife and I stayed for a few days. Very clean and good location for day trips for hiking. Road is steep and narrow but paved so no issues with accessing. Very well stocked kitchen, and other amenities (i.e. games, playstation, movies, grill & fire pit.) Listing noted "Cable TV" but that was replaced with a fire stick. It took us a day to realize the YoutubeTV app could be used to access live TV.

I sell travel for a living and it’s the little things that make customers loyal. Customer service here could use some tweaking. I would love to speak with someone about that.

Wonderful stay at KC Kabin

My husband and I stayed for 5 days for our 23rd Wedding Anniversary and the Cabin was perfect. The cabin is well stocked with your kitchen needs along with your bath needs. We were not lacking for anything there.,the location is high on a mountain with privacy from the world. You can travel any where you want to go In the location you are in. Definitely would book this cabin again.

Beautiful area

My family and I enjoyed KC cabin. The road to the cabin was narrow for our big SUV but we managed. The area was so peaceful and we loved being able to sit on the porch swing each night just to relax. The beds aren't the greatest but we managed. My family and I would definitely stay here again.

Quiet and secluded

The cabin was just as it was pictured on the site. An activities/attraction book was available for information. The cabin was very clean, as well as the deck area. The kitchen, bathroom, and bedrooms were stocked with necessary Items. You also have tv and movie streaming app services , as well games in drawers. It is a great get-away.

Time away in the Mountains

Our trip was exactly what we were hoping for! The cabin and area were wonderful! I hope to return and stay at this exact cabin soon! It’s so Peaceful, quiet, and has such a homey feel to it. I loved KC’s Cabin.

Secluded cabin on the mountain.

We enjoyed our stay here for the fourth of July holiday. The cabin is very cozy and nicely decorated, it contained everything you could possibly need. Did not utilize the deck space , would be nice to come back in the fall to utilize that space, sitting area and firepit. The drive up is single lane asphalt road that can be driven by almost any vehicle, the winter might be a different story. The area was close to town with a 20 min drive.

Cabin was cute, communication with how and when to get access was zero on a holiday weekend.

Cabin was nice, wish it had a view and or a hot tub for the price we paid. Trying to check in on a holiday weekend was confusing no instructions or directions on what to do and when. Office was closed and night person didn’t have immediate access to code. Just very little communication. Other than that the stay was nice and comfortable.

KC's cabin one of the most beautiful and perfect mountain cabins that our family has experienced. Every detail, decoration, supplies and patio stuff are amazing. Our kids love the patio, leaves on the floor and the swing too. Sincerely, it was one of the most clean and very well organized cabins we have visited. KC's Kabin was absolutely beautiful cozy and the perfect place to sit back and relax. Wish my kids got that memo! LOL I will admit that the ride up here was super scary for a Floridian. It was so beautifully decorated, clean and well supplied for a great stay. My son loved sweeping all the leaves off the patio every day! We ended up leaving a day earlier unfortunately because it was a longer drive home than expected. We would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone in the future looking to stay in Murphy North Carolina!

February 21st - 25th, 2018

02/21-First when we arrived we fell in love instantly.  The decorations are amazing. The cabin overall is amazing too. You have done a great job decorating it. When we settled in, we went for hikes to explore the area. 02/22-We had breakfast, went on more hikes. Afternoon we went to town to explore local shops buy some supplies. The night we spent just sitting on the deck and enjoyed the weather 02/23-We went to Brasstown Bald on hike. Even though it was soggy and wasn’t much to see it was still a breathtaking experience. On the way back stopped at the local shop to buy more gifts. We just enjoyed the evening and relaxed. 2/24-Today, 2/24/18, is my birthday and I could not ask for a better birthday and place to celebrate. After breakfast we went on a 3 mile hike even though it was a little cloudy, it was perfect. Afternoon we just spend day to relax and play games. January 4th – 8th, 2018

KC’s Kabin is BEAUTIFUL! Our family loved all of the decorations. 01/04-Tuesday morning, as we were eating breakfast, it started snowing. For my first time seeing snow, was pretty amazing, even though it didn't last long. 01/05-We went hiking at Leathwood Loop and seen beautiful trails and water falls. A lot of ice though so the trail was slick in some parts. 01/06-We stayed at the cabin most of the day except for when we went to eat at Downtown Pizza which was SOOO good! Had a little game room for the kids. 01/07-We drove Maggie valley but it wasn't very exciting this time of the year. Almost everything was closed. On the way down in the Nantahala National Forest we stopped at Soco falls. WOW! Everything was frozen so most of the waterfall was ice and boy was it cold! Our first family vacation was great! Just the sweetest cabin ever! Love it every inch! The decor is perfect. The only suggestion is to have a second shower or at least the sprayer for the big tub. I took pictures of everything. KC's cabin has been absolutely wonderful! We loved the decor and setup of this cabin. Murphy is a beautiful area with scenery all around. We went to Mercier Orchards, Bald River Falls, the Lost Sea, and the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad we just drove around to see the beautiful mountains. Unfortunately some of the hikes we wanted to go on got cancelled due to the smoke from the fires. Thank you for sharing this amazing cabin with us.

Your cabin is great! We are building a cabin in Fern Forest and came up for a long weekend to check on progress. Got a lot of decorating ideas! Don't like the road up but the cabin is worth the scare! LOL We also went to Chattanooga, Helen for Oktoberfest and Mercier Orchard. This is a great area. We loved KCs Kabin! We came up for a “babymoon” get away before we welcome our first daughter. KCs Kabin was the perfect place to do this. We spent the majority of our time enjoying the serenity of the cabin, but we also took a quick trip to the Blue Ridge Mountains. We enjoyed the Scenic Railway, but thought Mercier Orchards was a can't-miss! Everything was wonderful-the cabin, weather, and surroundings! My husband and I are looking forward to coming back as a larger family! We have recommended the cabin to our friends and family! -The Chaplains

The cabin was quite nice, beautifully decorated and great amenities. High quality sheets and plenty of towels. Both bathrooms were downstairs, one has large jacuzzi tub, other has shower. Our group of five was fine with one shower, but larger groups may find it difficult. Cabin was clean and well maintained. Deck/patio was very nice and loved the rocking chairs. Very quiet and peaceful location, good distance between homes. We saw deer and bunnies. Nearby attractions and activities aplenty. The reservation, check-in instructions, directions, etc. were all easy and accurate. We will definitely recommend this cabin to others! -Bridget
